Here's another blog about COVID-19

(But there's some stuff about advertising in here, too.)
Well, that escalated quickly.
One minute, we’re looking forward to a bright, sunny beginning of the decade. Next minute, toilet paper is a precious commodity. If you find some, please feel free to reply directly to this email and let us know where you found it :).
We’re working with numerous clients and organizations with messaging challenges that have come up, well, really suddenly. Forgive us if our normal fast-response to you is a little slower for a bit. This, too, shall pass.
One thing’s for sure. The coming weeks of uncertainty over the intensity and duration of the COVID-19 outbreak has led marketers and communication professionals to a decision point: drop advertising and marketing or continue to connect with customers and clients. Take a guess which direction we'd recommend.
In the coming weeks, the "noise level" your product or service category competes in for attention will drop as your competitors cut back on communicating with their customers and clients. It’s an opportunity to project to consumers stability and surety that the current crisis and uncertainty has an end. "Share of mind" drives "Share of market" down the marketing funnel.
What’s very different over the last decade is the explosive growth of new ways to connect with your customers and the people your organization serves. in an era of "social distancing" channels such as Connected TV, Email, SMS, Programmatic Display and (venturing out of our scope of expertise for a moment) non-digital channels such as Outdoor, Direct Mail and many types of Out of Home advertising should become more affordable to use and gain "Share of mind" during this crisis.
While we’re keeping our physical distance from each other, by no means should we keep our marketing distance from our customers and clients.
We wanted you to know that we are here and available as a partner and support system for your team. Don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything we can do to assist you.
Please stay safe!
